The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 - Live Streaming

I'm surprised to be seeing so many reviews bashing this film because it's "boring" or "it's a copy of Battle Royale 2" , but I'm not here to talk about that.

I've read The Hunger Games series multiple times, and reading Mockingjay, I knew it would be the hardest book in the trilogy to adapt into a film. But I am not disappointed. In fact, I want to congratulate Francis Lawrence for being able to create this masterpiece.

Watching the movie for the first time, I got immense chills. Especially in the part where Katniss sings "The Hanging Tree". I think it would be an extremely difficult task to split the final part of a movie into two parts and still make part 1 be interesting, but somehow, that feat was accomplished in this film.

The acting in this film was phenomenal, especially in Jennifer Lawrence's part. The way Katniss reacted to seeing her home burned and destroyed, was beautiful and gut wrenching. And don't even get me started on Peeta's transformations, it made me so sad, it definitely painted a better picture than the books did! And even Finnick, who we barely got to see, represented the melancholy effect of The Games on people.

Mockingjay is the most political, intense, and emotional book in The Hunger Games trilogy, and the way that the essence of the book got transferred into the film was brilliant in my opinion. It was also very intense, but not too much. This movie perfectly guided the way for the final movie. To me, Mockingjay part 1 gave us viewers a pleasing tease of the type of dynamics we can expect in the next film, and the ending surely gripped me to come view part 2 on opening day. especially in "Veep" but I think we will be delightfully surprised in the future with the range of characters she creates. Catherine Keener and Toni Collette who I would watch and listen to read a phone book, round out the cast. Go see it if you are in the mood for a "grown-up" film. Enjoy!

Enough Said (2013) Movie Download

When I see a film and are still thinking about the characters the next day, I know I liked it."Enough Said" is one of those films..

A quality script that the all star cast brings to the highest level. The dialogue is so subtle, intimate and at times evasive that I could easily see the work on a stage. It has a modern day Pinteresque quality to it! The bitter sweet note is that as James Gandolfinos' last role, before his untimely death, it is his best. It seems like he was just starting to feel his potential as a diverse actor and "Albert" is a character we have never seen him in. Julia Louis- Dreyfus continues to amaze us with her portrayal of "Eva", a California single mom masseuse. I have always enjoyed her work especially in "Veep" but I think we will be delightfully surprised in the future with the range of characters she creates. Catherine Keener and Toni Collette who I would watch and listen to read a phone book, round out the cast. Go see it if you are in the mood for a "grown-up" film. Enjoy!

Don Jon (2013) DVD Quality

I give this movie a 10 because it has a message. It has a true purpose to it, which effects nearly every man on the planet.

Ladies, you can listen to this, but be reasonable. Guys, we all masturbate. Some of us do it more than others, most of us look at porn. Some of us only masturbate to porn and some of us have real hard fetishes.

This movie points to the problem, the process of porn turning our heads, making us believe in perfection and making us ultimately selfish as lovers.

You watch porn, you don't have to please a woman, you don't have to worry about anyone but yourself. It is all perfect. In the real world, in relationships, the other person matters just as much as you, but sometimes, even the real thing is not as good as the fantasy and the ease of it.

Don Jon is about that confusion of liking and appreciating porn more than real women, of becoming addicted to the idea of 'perfection' and the ultimate realization of the effect it has on all us men, making us irritated little boys, incapable of truly connecting with another person.

The message is not that porn is bad, only the way we think and use it is misleading to reality.

But, this is not the type of movie to watch with the family, the girl; it's funny, but not a comedy in a spoof and clown type of way. Watch this movie alone, think about yourself and how porn effects you. It will benefit you greatly.

Watch Septic Man (2013) Live Stream

Before I begin, I am not connected to this movie in any way (check my other 100 or so reviews and you'll see) but I need to make that clear before I give it the review Im about to (in case Im accused of that).

Firstly, this film has got nothing to do with The Toxic Avenger which another reviewer here seems to think it should have been (?), Im really not sure why that is. Maybe he just reads a movie title and decides what its going to be about by that, but I really don't think thats a smart way to approach cinema and I (for one) am so glad it wasn't some terrible flick by the cheesemongers at Troma as its miles above their output in terms of quality.

The film opens with an outbreak of a water-born disease where a sewage system worker (hes known as the septic man as its a logo on his van) is approached to find the source and deal with it given an offer of a large sum of money. He enters the underground tunnels soon after, and quickly finds himself locked into a tank underground, where his problems really begin.

While the singular elements of Septic Man may not be original on their own, what is original and fresh is how they're strung together. Be advised that this is NOT a horror comedy, in fact its quite dark, twisted, and disturbing at times, with a grim harsh plot running most of the way through. Its written by Tony Burgess, who also wrote the fantastic Pontypool (2008) and its likely if you found that slow going then this movie might not suit you either. Luckily many horror fans have progressed beyond watching a man in a mask chase teens through a forest however so we welcome anything with a modicum of the different. And I loved this film, in fact its quickly moved into my top ten horror films of the year along with the likes of Under The Skin, Found, The Borderlands, Dead Snow 2 etc.

I suggest you go into Septic man not thinking you know what its about, and if you have the ability to watch a film while enjoying a build up in tension and story without it all being laid on a plate for you I think you'll love it. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. There have been so many mediocre horror films this year (Lord of Tears, Cross Bearer, The Cemetery etc) that its great when something comes along you thought might just be another. Septic Man is indeed a great new horror film that's an asset to the genre and one long standing horror fans (30yrs for me) will enjoy.

A Better Life (2011) Effortlessly Beautiful!

Quite simply put this is an absolutely amazing film.

Demian Bichir is top class and fully deserves his Oscar nomination and probably deserves it more than most of the other nominees's. People are saying its a shock nomination however if you have seen the film you will understand completely why he got it.

Truly beautiful and am not afraid to say it made me cry. i know this is a massive topic in the United States however absolutely anybody can and will connect with this film. its not just a tail about illegal immigrants its an incredibly powerful father and son tale.

I will be tuning in to the academy awards this Sunday hoping he can win it!

If anything just give the film a watch you wont be disappointed!

A Beautiful Mind (2001) Live Streaming Movie

The more I watch Russell Crowe, the more I am becoming a big fan of his acting talent. Here again, he demonstrates his skills in a role that had me spellbound. Of course, mentally-ill people are usually fascinating. Look how popular the cable television show "Monk" has become.

Crowe's character, mathematician John Nash, is not nearly as eccentric as "Monk," but his schizophrenia makes for a fascinating portrait of a very troubled man. This is another of those Ron Howard based-on-a-true-story films, so don't take everything here as gospel truth....because it ain't so. (One example: in real life, Nash's wife was anything but as supportive as Jennifer Connelly was portrayed here.)

The first time I saw this film I was disappointed. Maybe I expected more, maybe I felt the story was unfair to the viewer and I felt like this was just one more attempt at Liberal Hollywood to make fun of those in the 1950s who were opposed to Communism. Well, on the second viewing, just a few weeks ago, I didn't have a problem with any of those things, just enjoying the performances and the classy-looking cinematography, thanks to one of the best cameramen in the business, Roger Deakins. I'm not always a fan of director Ron Howard, but his films are usually interesting and pleasing to the eye. He and Crowe seem to be a good pair, too, as witnessed by 2005's "Cinderella Man."

For those who enjoy a cerebral thriller, this is a very intriguing film. Ed Harris, Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, Josh Lucas and Anthony Rapp all deliver solid supporting help and, if you haven't seen this, this story will deliver a big surprise. If you know the ending, a second viewing is even more interesting as you trace Nash's actions from the beginning.

Godzilla (2014) 3D Streaming

To all the turds here that think they know what a Godzilla movie should be, and to all the so called 'critics' that couldn't enjoy a movie if they played the star role, this movie isn't supposed to be a Schindler's List or Godfather, and if it had been it WOULD have been garbage. Too bad you couldn't enjoy it because for anyone that grew up actually watching Godzilla like I DID, this movie is nothing but pure greatness and just enjoyable to experience. I'm not going to sit there and nit pick a freakin Godzilla movie for AAA acting and story lines even though I thought both were just fine here. Anyone who has to do that with a Godzilla movie shouldn't be watching ANY Godzilla movies because you have no idea how to appreciate it for what it is and ALWAYS has been.

All I know is this. I haven't been this excited for a movie since Jurassic Park in 1993. When I went to see Jurassic Park everyone in the audience was cheering and standing up to clap for the great parts in that movie. It was exhilarating. I was 18 at that time and felt like I was ten. I had so much fun watching it. This was exactly the same. I'm sitting there, 39 years old and felt like I was ten again. There were great and memorable parts in the movie, and this all adds up to what is called a good movie. Everyone stood up at the great parts and clapped, people were wahooooing, Godzilla couldn't have been more badass looking and animated, and I've watched it multiple times at home again, still yelling and probably waking up my neighbors at the good parts. If that isn't a sign of a good movie I don't know what is, and anyone who is a true Godzilla fan would have noticed some great homages to the original movies.

Another gripe I'll address is the fact that he didn't show up till halfway through the movie, and wasn't stomping throughout the 2 hours. This is what made the movie special, and this is what made Godzilla so special in his role. If they had shown him throughout, people would have been desensitized quickly by his presence, and the movie would have just ended up another CGI fest with no soul. Not to mention some of the old movies were the same way. People would have been ready for the movie to be over with by the end of it, but as it happened, everyone was cheering at the very end wanting more Godzilla, and that's exactly how it should have been. They couldn't have done it any better. And for the people that think it was cheezy for him to ride off into the ocean in the end, GO WATCH A GODZILLA MOVIE and learn a few things. For anyone who is a true fan and grew up with these movies, get the movie and watch it if you haven't already. It's Godzilla at his best.

Divergent (2013) HD Video Streaming

First of all this is way better, than "The Hunger Games" which is in my opinion a childish B-movie at best.
Both movies suppose to be for young adults and both have a very similar story, but Divergent did it way better.
Many people complain about clichés and a predictable plot, but they don't realize, that this is a movie for young adults.
When I was young I loved such stories and I didn't see their clichés, because I didn't KNOW that those are clichés.
You have to read many books and watch many movies to recognize standard things as cliché.
There is nothing wrong with clichés. They make up our entire life. We learn from them as young adults.
I am a 45 years old male and I enjoyed this movie as I would have enjoyed it in my teen years.
It had no ups and downs or surprising twists, but it also didn't bore me for a second. I just liked to watch the protagonists going through their lives and the story being unfold.
It is a solid movie with incredible visuals, sympathetic characters and a nice story.
It has no explosions, but it is still better, than all transformers movies altogether (which are really really bad), so if you like nice movies with a little bit of message, which just let you forget your problems for two hours and just let you enjoy the mood, then watch it.
If you like post-apocalyptic settings, even better!

Lone Survivor (2013) An emotional powerhouse film

As a former Navy SEAL Team support member, what impressed me the most was the details about these SEALs and the whole Special Operations culture. The director did his research because everything was nearly 100% accurate. The beards, the long hair, the uniforms, the painted guns, the gloves, the sunglasses, the wooden quads/SHU's (sleeping quarters), the TOC (Tactical Operations Center), the JOC (Joint Operations Center), down to the the Merrell hiking shoes. That is how our special forces look and act. PERIOD!

One thing this movie failed to show was the HUGE AMOUNT of PRIDE that ALL subsequent SEALs have for ALL SEALs who die in combat. This happened in 2005 but nine years later if you walk into any SEAL building, base, or unit you will see pictures of ALL of their fallen brothers hanging on the wall with details of their death. They never forget anyone EVER!

This movie had little to no Hollywood fluff. Zero propaganda. It is the most accurate depiction of the two most modern wars that the U.S. has been apart of. If you want to know what it is like for the Navy SEALs and their support teams back on the FOB (Forward Operating Base) in Afghanistan or Iraq, watch this movie.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013) DVD Bluray

A fascinating sequel that leaved me impressed and they did it again even better than the first one . With Dwayne and Willis joining the big cast the movie had even an huge impact than the first film. The Impersonating of the President on the command of Cobra their plan destroying the earth and G.I. Joe's headed outnumbered and out gunned forming a plan to stop it . They also ended good the death of Duke but hope he will return maybe for a third installment in the G.I. Joe series or even G.I./Transformers crossover ;) . Great performance by Dwayne , Willis & Tatum also from Ray ( Snake Eyes ) and Byung-Hun Lee ( Storm Shadow ) fighting for the good side this time !

Now You See Me (2013) A fun ride, but something's missing

This is an interesting concept, surely not a genre played out much in Hollywood. The cast is jam packed with all stars giving great (but not their best) performances. The missing piece of the puzzle? Character development.

That's not to say that there is any lack of interesting characters, each of the four horsemen bring a very unique style to the movie (besides Henley, she's rather weak as a character), and the sheer amount of Talent present in each scene guarantees that you'll be entertained.

10/10? Hardly. But definitely a solid 8 for me. Entertaining, fun, and definitely a concept worth exploring on the big screen. Just remember, the closer you look, the less you'll actually see.

Film Ida (2013) Extraordinary film. Don't miss it!

Ida (2013) is a Polish film co-written and directed by Pawel Pawlikowski. This brilliant film follows a few days in the life of Anna, a young novitiate nun. Anna has been raised in a convent, and she plans to take her vows and stay in the convent for the rest of her life.

However, before this can take place, the mother superior sends her to meet her only living relative, a woman named Wanda.

The pair could not be less similar. Ida is quiet, gentle, thoughtful, and shy. Her aunt is tough as nails--she has real power as a judge, and she knows how to use it. She's a heavy drinker and a heavy smoker. She's also a Jew.

In the first few minutes of the movie, Anna learns that she's Jewish. As a very young girl, she was taken to the convent, where the nuns raised her. (Her real name is Ida, which is why that's the title of the film.)

Wanda and Anna set out to return to their rural home, to solve the mystery of what happened to their family 20 years earlier. Why did Ida survive, when her family--other than Wanda--did not?

This film, shot in black & white, is superbly constructed on every dimension. The plot is tight, and the acting is incredible. Agata Kulesza (Wanda) and Agata Trzebuchowska (Anna/Ida), are immensely talented actors.

The cinematography is incomparable. My wife and I felt as if any frame--from the beginning to the end of the movie--would make a great still photograph.

Pawlikowski knows how to focus on his main actors, but he also lets us know that, while the protagonists are involved in heartbreaking drama, the rest of the world is going about its business around them.

This is a grim film. Anna's life is restricted by her piety. Wanda's life is constricted by alcohol and--it would appear--by lack of any close personal relationships. Everyone in Poland is restricted by horrible memories, dark secrets, and Soviet domination.

Grim or not, this is a film you shouldn't pass up if you care about great cinema. We saw it on a large screen at the LittleTheatre in Rochester, NY. However, it will work well enough on DVD. Don't miss it.
Ida is magnificent, it will stay with me a long time. The narrative is powerfully compelling and yet if it had been a non-narrative film I would have been spellbound by the images alone. They should make a coffee table book of stills from it. Huge emotional issues are dealt with in a remarkably understated, unsentimental, but appropriate way. The use of music (often my pet peeve in these days of Hollywood formula) is enlightened and illustrative. I don't think the ending is ambiguous, I'm not sure the writer who wrote that understood it. Perhaps there is something slightly facile about the way things wrap up in the last 15 minutes of the film, but this is only in comparison with how beautifully they are laid out before that. Enough, this is not really a review, it is an exhortation - Go see Ida!

Annabelle (2014) brilliant horror movies

I have recently gone through a phase of watching a few horror movies that I never got around to watching, which includes Insidious 1 and the Conjuring.

I am lost for words how anyone can rate Insidious as a brilliant horror movie, I guess it is a sign of the times that putting excruciatingly loud noises when something supposedly scary is on the screen into a film means it is terrifying. That is Insidious all the way through, it is not scary at all, it is a cheap and pathetic trick to scare the audience, you watch those scenes without the sound and they are laughable, Insidious is a joke film yet scores so highly on here because loud noises scare people.

I thought the Conjuring was much better than Insidious but still both do not come close to Annabelle. John Leonetti did a better job with this film than James Wan could ever have dreamed of doing.

The tension created without the need for outrageously loud bangs sets this film apart from all the tiresome and clichéd films that have come out recently. The sewing machine scenes, the oven scene and the lift scene alone created more tension and horror than any loud noise can create, it was executed perfectly. Even the scenes where nothing happened but you were expecting them to were done perfectly.

Sure the film isn't perfect, but as a horror it is beautifully paced and the tension is built up brilliantly. It is easily one of the better horror movies I have seen in the last 5 years. I do not usually watch lots of American horror films because I find them all very similar, similar stories, similar scare tactics so I tend to watch more Korean, Japanese and French horrors but I was pleasantly and massively surprised with how well this movie was done.

I would highly recommend this movie to anyone and I put it way above the horror movie comparisons on here such as Insidious and Conjuring, its not even close, this is way better. The fact this film has such a low score really says to me either there is something really dodgy going on with IMDb film ratings or people really do have no taste in real horror movies only the cheesy and ridiculous loud noise/cheap scare ones that are in abundance these days.

Film Unbroken (2014) Must see! A man bigger than life.

This movie was nothing less of greatness in documenting a man's life so epic on all human capacity. Louis fought with peace and integrity not just for his family, friends or his enemies, but for humanity. We will all die at some point in our lifetime; what do you want the world to remember you as? Despite, many critics and their open opinions about the film, we can't deny the bravery that exist within this film of which depicted Louis Zamperini and many who illuminated his life. Throughout this movie his life broadcast many struggles beyond war, beyond men, beyond race, beyond countries' borders, but of deep faith beyond persecution. We can only image someone else's pain until we have walked in their shoes. Unbroken has taught me to never let someone still your joy and forgive, not just for the other person, but mostly for you. Forgive in all that the world has given you and you will leave a gift greater than yourself.
Who cares though? This is one of 2014's best films and you'll see it at the Oscars I promise you that.

The Fault in Our Stars (2014) Sad, But Incredibly Beautiful

I went into this movie not having read the book and not knowing anything more than the overall plot. I am a sucker for a good love story, especially love that I can relate to. The pain and emotions felt by the characters felt so real, as if I was feeling the same emotions.

Though this was THE SADDEST movie I have ever seen, it was also one of the most beautiful, as it truly showed how exhilarating and comforting and exciting love is.

I probably cried throughout about half of the movie, along with the rest of the audience. I cried to the point of heaving out loud and needing more than the 2 tissues I came in with. Again, the actors really expressed the emotions of the characters well and I felt that.

I am going to see it again for sure.

The Walking Dead Season 5 Full episode on Videostripe

Whyyyyyy does one continually take the nice ones, The Walking Dead!?!? i am shaking my fists at you therefore right wing currently, I may in all probability shatter a Shake Weight! "Coda" bound up the primary 1/2 Season five by killing off another character, as a result of that is what happens on The Walking Dead. sadly, it had been somebody i might taken quite shine to: letter of the alphabet, who's been one among my favorites since The Walking Dead set to create her a true creature rather than blonde zombie chow. And even additional sadly, her death was senseless, entirely evitable , plain stupid (well, largely stupid), and apparently done simply because the show required somebody to die.

Download The Maze Runner (2014) HD 720p

"The Maze Runner" (2014) is very well paced, directed and crafted motion picture. It's a very compelling sci-fi, which tells very interesting and involving story. Although the main structure of "The Maze Runner" will probably look familiar if you have seen more then 100 movies in your life, it's still expertly paced and done so you will be glued to your screen for the whole ride.

Overall, "The Maze Runner" is not to be missed one if you like sci-fi movies, which are good crafted and tells interesting stories. It's not revolutionary good, but it does a very good job for a one evening viewing. I will look forward for sequels.

Watch The Hobbit Trilogy - Video HD Quality

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
I was a mere child when I watched LOTR franchise and I still liked it. Ever since, year by year, I grew fonder and fonder of the movies and they remain, and probably forever will, one of my favorite movies of all time. I've read all the books countless times (including Hobit) and when I saw that Hobbit was coming into the cinema, my mind was entirely wiped away from its existence due to excitement that entered me.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)
Even though I formally thought "An Unexpected Journey" was a bit chipped off by quality from the original "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, due to its certain lack of seriousness the former Jackson Middle-Earth films had, I wasn't really disappointed by it. It was a different, more softer storyline, and under it had to have a different directorial approach. Going to see the second one, I had my worries if it's going to be on a dose less of action and excitement and more centered on the characters, which I always kind of felt myself, was a mistake for a purely adventure film, a road that many movies have taken on in sequels. Fortunately, it was nothing of a sort. "Desolation" gives a stronger adventure and enjoyment than the original Hobbit movie. Faster pace, beautiful sets, lovely score, costumes and most impressive CGI than ever before, with the comeback of one of the most beloved character of the original series, Legolas, will surely win over the audiences both fans of Tolkien's book and not, over the globe again this Christmas season. If anything, I'll definitely go catch it again. Thumbs up!

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)
It is without question The Hobbit did not need to be made into a three part film series... After all, given the book size of the Hobbit Compared to The Lord of the Rings... The Hobbit Should have been workable into one extended Movie or two at the most. If Jackson would have sun the story of The Lord of the Rings like he did the Hobbit, We would still be waiting for the last two movies in his twelve part series...

So with that off my chest..

This still is a TRUE CLASSIC FILM to be placed in the same titles as The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. The Cinematography was excellent. The special effects pretty much flawless and acting excellent. The Story was intriguing if not a bit over-told with characters and plots a bit beyond the book. However, even these over embellishings are happily accepted. In fact, now that the series is over, I wish Jackson would have made a longer Lord of the Rings. Is simply can not get enough.. It is over! Soon to be delegated to Blue Ray, then sweep to the DVD bin at WalMart along with the rest of our favorites. Enjoy the series now... It will be a long time before you see another classic like Tolkien on the Big Screen.

The Impossible (2012) Streaming HD 720p

Disaster films have an odd reputation, often merely dismissed as popcorn fodder, so it's strange to have a film billed as such but to put character and drama over spectacle. Then again, as it's based on a true story, it's probably unfair to label 'The Impossible' as such a movie because the plight of the characters is at its heart throughout the entire duration. Perhaps this film is best described as a family drama with elements of disaster, then.

The Boxing Day tsunami was one of those events that put our lives into perspective, and the film achieves the same feat. Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts play the parents of three children who decide to spend an exotic Christmas in Thailand. Suitcases are unpacked, presents are exchanged, but the sense of impending disaster is overwhelmingly unsettling. When the inevitable does happen, the following 15 minutes are intense, realistic and terrifying; an onslaught of terrific practical effects and incredible sound design. However, after that concentrated outburst, the drama shifts down a gear to a more intimate, personal level, which is no less frightful.

That is why this film shines; it's about the smaller picture. By focusing on the survival of this one family rather than the scale of the event itself, a better, and more human, representation of the disaster is displayed. The performances from the central cast are nothing short of spectacular, especially Tom Holland, who carries the film for a hefty chunk of the running time with a gravitas that many older actors would fail to achieve.

Many criticisms have been made in the press about the anglicisation of the story; in reality, the family was Spanish. To me, that seemed to be a decision to globalise this story to the maximum amount of people, a decision that was warranted in my eyes. Thus, the main issue with the film was the score to be unnecessarily overriding in certain scenes, adding an unwanted sentimentality to the film. The scenes which worked best were confrontational, uncompromising and, you guessed it, without a swelling orchestra. Nevertheless, this is a minor gripe considering that this is a film where tears are wholeheartedly justified.

A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) HD Quality

Doubting whether audiences do really know the existence of this crime film due to poor marketing, Liam Neeson's name alone however has no problem at all to draw a solid walk-ins, and surprisingly it turns out to be a compelling story compared to his previous roles. Unlike the other same genre, this does not filled with action-packed scenes, but progresses steadily and methodically in details just like a real investigation in daily life, making it appears to be a chilling drama thriller. Not much of plot twists, but certain creepy moments with solid scores, riveting performance from the hero himself and the supporting casts, nasty and eerie crime heavily based on drugs and alcohol, the surprisingly "muted" ending style are more than enough to guarantee an intense, enjoyable, old-fashioned and watchable psycho- thriller.

Foxcatcher (2014) HD 720p

Foxcatcher is a 2014 American biographical drama film, directed by Bennett Miller, starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo. The screenplay was written by E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman. It competed for the Palme d'Or in the main competition section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where Miller won the Best Director Award.

The story of Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz and paranoid- schizophrenic millionaire coach John du Pont, who murdered Schultz's brother, Olympic Champion Dave Schultz in 1996.

The film has received acclaim from critics, with many praising the performances of Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 'Certified Fresh' rating of 91%, based on 45 reviews, with an average rating of 8.4/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "A chilling true crime drama, Foxcatcher offers Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum a chance to shine - and all three rise to the challenge". Metacritic gives the film a score of 91 out of 100, based on 11 critics, indicating "universal acclaim". Justin Chang of Variety praised the film, writing: "Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum give superb performances in Bennett Miller's powerfully disturbing true-crime saga." Eric Kohn of Indiewire also reacted positively to the film, with most of his praise going towards Carell and Tatum's performances. Donald Clarke of The Irish Times praised Bennett Miller's direction, saying that "he (Miller) hits his stride with a stunning portrayal of psychopathy and moral decadence in the unlikely environment of Olympic wrestling." Todd McCarthy of The Hollywood Reporter praised Carell's performance calling it "career changing". On the other hand, Budd Wilkins of Slant Magazine gave the film a negative review and said that the film "offers us next to nothing of utility or complexity about du Pont's pathology.
I'm not surprised this terrific decent movie has won 2 International Awards.

Sex Tape (2014) DVD

As you might imagine, a movie entitled "Sex Tape" could be highly sexually explicit and this one certainly is. However, whereas many totally outrageous sex comedies are just gross and unfunny, I found that this movie found the right mixture and ended up being quite funny on the whole. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews on the site, so I guess it's just the way the film hit me.

Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel have the right chemistry, I thought, as Annie and Jay, who are looking to spice up their sex life, after years of marriage and two children. They decide to make a 3 hour sex tape based on the book "The Joy of Sex". However, when Jay starts to give away some old iPads with his playlists on them to friends, acquaintances, and even the mailman, but hasn't erased the tape, it's in danger of getting on the net and going viral.

Rob Lowe is extremely funny here as Hank, a CEO of a company looking to buy Annie's blog on parenting. The scenes in his house involving himself, Annie, Jay, and a German Shepherd I thought were hilarious. Ellie Kemper, Rob Corddry, and Jack Black all add well to the mix in supporting roles.

In summary this sex comedy spoof, directed by Jake Kasdan ( Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Bad Teacher) hit the right comedic notes for me and I found myself laughing quite a lot throughout the movie.

Into the Storm (2014) DVD Online

Into the Storm, One word describes this movie , I went along to the movie with my friends. AMAZEBALLS. It was fantastic. Out of this world. It centered around tornadoes literately speaking. For a 2D film, it most certainly was value for your money. Like I had to question myself at times, if I were in an iMAX film. I said to my mate, if they have an iMAX version of the movie, you can only imagine how fascinating it would be. Every time, a tornado would appear, you would actually feel it. I even got my friend to feel my coke, the vibration. It was fantastic. The plot was quite interesting however. The film started off with students and teachers and the characters being asked what they'd like to have done in 25 years etc., It centered around the Gary(Armitage), the two sons: Trey(Kress) and Donnie(Deacon). It also centered around characters who actually CHASE the tornados for a living. There is a TV Series in the States actually called something of the same name, whereby the guys run after the storms. I think its called Storm Chasers. Something like that. So we had Pete(Walsh), Daryl(Escarpeta), Jacob(Sumpter), and Allison(Callies) and of course the Principal(Lawrence) of the school of where it was centered in its entirety. While we also were treated to amateur Weather chasers or Storm Chasers. Namely: Donk(Davis) and Reevis(Reep). Then one huge sorry ass of Tornado appeared. I was amazed and at the same time, downtrodden(feeling for the characters). I sense an Oscar here.
